Communications manager by day and a crafter by night; I crochet, weave, spin my yarn, wood-burn, make kumihimo, and draw.

The Knitting Pirate has been obsessed with yarn and string for approximately forever, beginning with knotting embroidery floss into friendship bracelets and weaving scarves on a plastic loom (hey, it was the 80s). Pirate learned to knit at eight, but didn't really pick it up as a hobby until twenty years later. Other string- and fabric-related hobbies include inkle and card weaving, embroidery, sewing, quilting, and yes, the occasional friendship bracelet.
